A beautiful soul, a gentle spirit, and a light that could never be replaced, Julius K. Miller was born on November 18, 2003. From the very beginning, his bright smile, kind heart, and peaceful presence brought joy to everyone blessed enough to know him. Though his life was tragically cut short on May 7, 2026, the love and memories Julius leaves behind will live on forever.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Bishop Allen C. Harrison and Pastor Abel Mosqueda officiating. Burial will follow at Greenview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Julius was humble, free-spirited, and full of light. He loved nature, traveling, and finding peace in the simple things life had to offer. He believed his body was a temple and carried himself with kindness, purpose, and love. Whether through his laughter, his calm spirit, or the way he made others feel seen and valued, Julius had a way of leaving a lasting impact on every life he touched.
Julius graduated from Reidsville High School in 2022 and later attended North Carolina A&T State University. During his time at Reidsville High School, he helped lead the Rams football program to three NCHSAA 2A State Championships during the 2018, 2019, and 2020 seasons, with the 2020 season being played in Spring 2021. He proudly earned three championship rings alongside his teammates and school community.
He was also a dedicated Eagle Scout who participated in Scouting from kindergarten through the age of 18. Julius achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at just 15½ years old — a reflection of his determination, leadership, and commitment to serving others. As part of his Eagle Scout journey, he successfully completed an Eagle Scout project while still in middle school.
Athletics were a major part of Julius’ life from an early age. Gifted, competitive, and passionate, he participated in football, basketball, baseball, track, and wrestling through the Reidsville Recreation Department before continuing his athletic journey at Reidsville Middle School and Reidsville High School. Beyond athletics, Julius was a natural leader among his peers. He proudly served as Senior Class President and was honored as Homecoming King — accomplishments that reflected the love, respect, and admiration so many people had for him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Audbree Miller; maternal grandmother, Joyce Peele; paternal great-grandfather James Dickerson; great-grandfather, maternal great-grandparents, Mary Southard Williams and Mack Williams Sr.; paternal great-aunts, Mary Cochran, Linda Padron, Patricia Williams, and Kimberly Medellin; and paternal great-uncles, Richard A. Williams and James Williams.
Julius leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Kenndra “Jabba” Peele and Mack “Sparky” Miller; his brother, Bryson Miller; grandmother, Tammy Jawaid; grandfather, Papa Kenny Dickerson Sr.; paternal aunt, Mary Miller; special maternal uncle, Pezavia Slade; great grandmother Wyvonne Dickerson, great aunts- Wanda, Cheryl, Princess, and Gene Dickerson paternal great-uncles Mack Williams, Jr. (Hope), Stephen Williams (Joan), and Timothy Williams; paternal great aunts Amelia Williams and Kathy Mansfield, special cousins, Matthew Williams, Richard Williams, Lucas Cruz, Rudy Muirhead and Sybellah Juarez-Sanchez; along with numerous other family members and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Julius lived with love, walked with purpose, and left this world better than he found it. His spirit will continue to shine through every life he touched, every memory shared, and every moment of peace found in the beauty of God’s creation.
