Joyce Paschall Travis

Joyce Paschal Travis, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Following her wishes, there will not be any formal services. Joyce was born on July 6, 1952 to the late Hubert and Hessie Paschal. Joyce will be remembered as a caring person who selflessly took time to care for and sit with those in need within her community. Joyce loved being outside working in her yard and spending time with her neighbors and friends. More than anything, Joyce was a faithful Christian who deeply loved the Lord and often referenced scripture in everyday conversation. Joyce was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Paschal Overby. Joyce is survived by her son, Jay Travis; daughter, Kim West; grandchildren, Logan Travis, Lucas Travis, Scarlett Williams, Tayce Williams, Sterling Travis; sisters, Margie Manley, Pamela Coker; brothers, Glenn Paschal, Lannie Paschal, Ricky Paschal, Randy Paschal, and Wesley Paschal; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to a local church of your choice or to the Rockingham County Animal Shelter, 250 Cherokee Camp Rd, Reidsville, NC 27320.
