Joshua Caleb Talley

Joshua “JJ” Caleb Talley, 41, passed away at his home in Augusta, Ga on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

A funeral service will be held at Calvary’s Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 2 PM with Pastor Harold Gearheart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Reidlawn Cemetery. 

JJ was born in Guilford County to David Talley and Virgie May. A member of the 2002 Reidsville High School State Championship football team. He graduated with honors in 2003. After high school, he attended North Carolina State University where he graduated with a degree in Nuclear Engineering. He attended New Life Church in Augusta, Georgia.

He is survived by his mother, Virgie Stanley May (Herman); father, David Talley; children, Brycen and Amelia; brother, Jon Talley (Jamie); and special girlfriend, Michelle as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
