John Robert Butler

John R Butler, 65, of Kernersville passed away Monday, February 20, 2024 at his home. 

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.  

Born November 12, 1958 in Reidsville to Nancy J Butler and the late David L Butler Sr and was a proud 1977 graduate of Reidsville Senior High School and 1981 graduate of UNCG. He has been employed by Varco Pruden Buildings for over 30 years as a project manager. He was the go-to for anything automobile related. He never met a stranger and was never too shy to ask “and your name is?”. 

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, David L Butler Jr, paternal grandparents, John and Florence “Jimmie” Butler, and maternal grandparents Robbie and Thelma Jones. 

He is survived by his son, Jordan R Butler; wife, Lisa B Butler, both of Kernersville, his mother, Nancy J Butler; sister, H Louise Butler, niece, Hope Sutton, numerous aunts & uncles, and his canine companion Candy.
