Jimmy Ronald Bolden Sr., 80, passed away peacefully at Annie Penn, Hospital on Monday, July 24, 2023.
A memorial service will be held at the family home on Friday, July 28th at 6:00 PM with Dr. Lance Cole and Harry Woods officiating.
Jimmy was born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late James Everette Bolden and Margie Alice Jarrett. He was a veteran of the US Army. After service, he worked with his brothers and nephews building houses then for the state department DOT, and finally for the city of Eden where he retired. Jimmy was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church early in his life then became a member of Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church. He loved his family above all else.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara Bolden; daughter, Kristi Bolden; and 9 siblings: Dewey, Herman, Ikey, Bobby, Thelma, Maude, Elaine, Johnny and Richard.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Ronnie Bolden and wife, Angela; grandchildren, Brianna, Ben, Felicia, Sebastian, Harley, Connor; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Lucille Tilley, and Jackie Neal; numerous, nieces, nephews, and a large and loving group of extended family.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the nieces who showed their love and kindness with food and visits and the extra special care they gave Jimmy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church at 261 Estes Rd Ruffin NC 27326.
