Jewel Walker Pruitt

Jewel Walker Pruitt, 89, of Summerfield, passed away suddenly on December 24, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Maple Lawn Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Byerly and Rev J.T. Byerly officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday December 27, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 4-6 P.M. and other times at the home of her son, Bobby Pruitt.

Jewel was born in Forsyth County to the late Cletus and Pearl Walker. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Lee Walker, and Billy Walker; sisters, Peggy Owens, and Faye Chapmon.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Lewis “Jack” Pruitt; sons, Danny (Janet) Pruitt, Bobby (Patti) Pruitt, both of Reidsville; grandchildren, Shannon Pruitt, Andrea (David) Moore, and Benjamin Pruitt; great grandchildren, Hayden Keeffer, Phoenix Fretwell, Aubrey Moore, Kayla Moore, Sydney Fain, Morgan, Baylee, Sarah, and Jewel Pruitt; sister, Margie Collins; brothers, Elon Walker and Gary Walker.
