Jesse Jerome Gauldin

Jesse Jerome Gauldin, 70, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at his home in Reidsville

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.

Jesse was born in Danville, VA to the late Silas and Mary Owen Gauldin on January 17, 1952. He was a member of the Mountain Hill community for much of his life. Jesse worked as a skilled heavy equipment operator until he retired and moved to the Reidsville area. He was an avid fisherman and loved playing guitar. He was the poster child for living life on your own terms and did so until the day he died. He did not covet material things. He spent his time doing things he enjoyed with family and friends. Things that cause most people stress never bothered Jesse, perhaps that’s why there was no gray in his long hair and very full beard when he passed. He was an inspiration and will be sorely missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two older brothers, Richard and Roger Gauldin; two half brothers, Jack and John Hupp; and cousin, Kenneth Williams

Jesse is survived by his brother Zane Gauldin and wife Lori, sister Kelly Gauldin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
