Janie was born on March 2, 1947, to the late Dan and Mildred Adams of Holt, Florida. She was the middle of five children. Janie grew up in Florida and graduated from Baker High School. In 1963, she met an Air Force man and husband-to-be, Hardy Hall, and they were married on July 1, 1966. After they completed Hardy’s military service, they moved to Reidsville, N.C., where they settled.
She spent most of her working career in hospital purchasing, including work at Annie Penn Hospital, and finished her career in banking at First National Bank.
Janie was a long-time member of Baptist Temple Church in Reidsville and especially enjoyed her Sunday school class. Before her failing health, Janie enjoyed working in the yard, reading, quilting, and taking a ride in her Corvette. She enjoyed making quilts for family and made many baby quilts for family and friends. Her last quilt was given to her great-granddaughter.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 60 years, Hardy Hall, their daughter and only child, Kimberly Hall McNeal, and son-in-law Michael, her pride and joy granddaughter Maegan McNeal Shaffner and grandson-in-law Brayson, and her beloved great-granddaughter Lucy Shaffner. Siblings are Billy Adams, Jean Walker, and June Martin. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Janie was predeceased by her parents, Dan and Mildred Adams, and her older sister, Wilma Coley.
