James Michael Witherspoon

Reidsville- James Michael Witherspoon, 64, of Grenada, Mississippi formerly of Rockingham County, NC passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011.A private memorial service will be held at a later time. Mr. Witherspoon was born on October 10, 1947 in Person County, NC to the late John Henry and Ruby Childress Witherspoon. He was of the Baptist faith. James had a charismatic soul about him that lead him to live his life to the fullest and to enjoy living life in which ever path it may have lead him. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie, John, Henry David, William Franklin, Roger Neal Witherspoon and his sister, Sue Holub.James is survived by his sister, Joyce Witherspoon Craddock and husband, Roy of Eden; two children; and several nieces and nephews.There will not be a formal visitation.Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
