Mr. Jack David Harrison of Reidsville entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on March 5, 2026, at Cone Hospital surrounded by family, after bravely fighting a hard battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, starting at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Jack was born on October 12th, 1936, in Reidsville NC. He was the son of William Herbert Harrison and Ruby Collins Harrison. Jack graduated from Bethany High School in 1955.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Ruby Williams Harrison.
Jack is survived by his two daughters, Lori Fullmer (Carey) of Pennsylvania, Kim Faint (Chuck); and son, Dave Harrison (Kim) of Reidsville. Grandchildren; Jon Fullmer (Amelia), Josh Fullmer (Anita), Julie Hill (Don) Clark Faint (Serena), Mandy Brown (Hurley), Krystal Harrison (Chris), Nikki Paschal (Zach), Nathan Wittenbrook (Lauren); and eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; and also his cherished and beloved friend, Pauline Shook, all of whom will continue to carry his love and legacy forward.
Jack was known by many as “Bread Man,” he was a deeply loved Husband, Daddy, Papa, and Friend. While our hearts grieve his loss, we find comfort in knowing that Jack is now resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord. He was a man whose life was rooted in love, faith, and devotion to his family and friends. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and the many blessings God placed along his path. One of his greatest joys was spending time on the golf course. For Jack, it was never just about the score (although he proudly achieved six hole in-ones) but about the fellowship, the laughter, and the friendships that grew stronger with every round. He also took great pride in his tomato patch, Those tomatoes, grown with patience and care, were just one of the many ways Jack shared his love with others. He treasured the fellowship of friends during lively games of Rook, where he was known for boldly shooting the moon and enjoying every moment of the camaraderie. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, and his kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. More than anything, Jack will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his generous heart, and the love he poured into his family every day. His life was a true blessing, and the memories he created will be treasured forever. Though we will miss him deeply, we hold onto the promise found in faith that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Jack has finished his earthly race and now rests in eternal peace. Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find peace in knowing that Heaven has welcomed home a faithful servant. Until we meet again, we will carry Jack’s love in our hearts and will cherish each and every memory he gave us.
