J L Anderson

JL Anderson, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday April 5, 2025.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, with Rev. Rick Church at Reidlawn Cemetery.

JL Anderson was born in Wilkes County to the late Edmond Letcher Anderson and Ivy Jeanette Estep. He was a long-time tobacco farmer in Bethany, NC. JL was an avid NASCAR Fan always cheering for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. He was a simple, hardworking man who loved his family. He will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Goldie Anderson; daughter, Lois Lynn Turner; sister, Lois Anderson Stanley.

He is survived by his children, John Letcher Anderson (Brenda); Linda Gail Wheeler (Todd); grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon, Brittany, Trey, Lee, Brandi; 14 great grandchildren as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
