Dear aunt Irene, you certainly lived a long life & left many memories along the way. I can remember so many visits to your home when I was young, sliding down the hand rail when you lived near Camp Springs in the big house, visiting you in Burlington, wishing i had a black cat clock with a swinging tail & a coo coo clock like you had and messing in your Jergen's Cherry Almond lotion. Sunday dinner with you & uncle Jim was always a treat, playing on the stairs while dinner cooked & thinking, you made the best chicken casserole & coconut pie I ever tasted, I recently had your hand written coconut flake pie recipe in my hand, you gave it to mama for me years back. As an adult, I enjoyed seeing you when you came to visit mama & daddy, the way you called me ( Maa-gret) & the way you always told stories of you and daddy growing up, he loved hearing you call him Jay or saying, see you later J bird as you left ~ to everyone else, he was just Joe or uncle Jody ~ he loved you so much. Janice, sorry for your loss, she is resting easy now with all her siblings, sending love to you ~ Margaret, Scott & Amelia Rakestraw
