Reidsville – Ira B. Coleman, 87, 319 Rice Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Lindsey Page officiating. The burial will follow in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Coleman was a native of Unicoi County, Tenn. but lived in the Camp Springs Community of Caswell County. She farmed with her husband, was a homemaker and a dear grandmother to many who loved her. Along with her parents,Thomas Young and Betty Garland Brumett, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Coye Jones Coleman; sisters, Helen Grindstaff, Mae Price, Marie White; brother, George Grindstaff; step-children, Jean C. Culler, Jeanette Hoyle, RosaLee Presnell, Charlie Coleman, Jack Coleman; God-daughter, Samantha Wilson. She is survived by step-children, Roby Coleman, Lucille C. Paschal, Maggie C. Paschal and Loye C. Price; caregiver and grandchild, Margaret Rakestraw; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Clyde Grindstaff and J.B. Grindstaff; sister, Beatric Buck; God-daughter, Donna H.Stanley and Nannie’s Boy, Tyler Wilson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel.
