Homer Lacy Cox

Homer Lacy Cox, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

Mr. Cox will be remembered with respect and gratitude for a life that included service to his country in the United States Army. His military service stands as a meaningful part of his life and legacy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lacy Cox, and his mother, Anna Cox. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Cox and Bobby Cox, and by his sister, Shirley Soloman.

Homer is survived by his sisters, Betty Wall and Anne Woody and his sister-in-law, Penny Cox. May their memories of him bring comfort in the days ahead and remain a lasting source of strength and peace.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Lively Stone Baptist Church Cemetery, 2347 Chandler Mill Rd, Pelham, NC 27311 with Pastor Wayne Moore officiating. 

He will be remembered with honor by those who knew him and by the family who carry his memory forward.
