Herbert “Myron” Garrison, 84, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his home.
A graveside inurnment will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Daryl Crowder officiating.
Myron was born in Alamance County to the late Herbert Garrison and Kallie Kernodle. He began his working career with Burlington Industries and retired with many years of service from Miller Brewing Company. He was a man of few words, but his life spoke volumes. He found peace in the simple Joys- climbing onto his tractor to mow, tending to his land, and keeping the birds fed and his fish cared for in the koi pond. These quiet routines reflected his steady nature and deep appreciation for the world around him.
Above all else, Myron’s most treasured joy was being with his wife, Becky, lovingly known as his “sunshine”. Their time together was the center of his world, and the love they shared was evident to all who knew him. Myron will be remembered for his calm presence, gentle heart, and the quiet ways he showed his love and devotion.
Along with his parents, Myron is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Rebecca “Becky” Garrison and his son, R. Craig Garrison.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle G. Smith, Tammy G. Apple, Tammy C. Brame (Michael), Shannon H Cheshire (Fuzz); Grandchildren, Britana Smith (Omar), Richard Apple and Christine Apple; great grandson, Damon Hernandez; sister, Pam Starling (Ray) as well as a loving group of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Rockingham County Animal Shelter at 250 Cherokee Camp Road, Reidsville NC 27320.
