Herbert Ray Chilton

Herbert Ray Chilton, 71, of Reidsville Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 8^th, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 12^th, 2022, at 2PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and the burial will follow the service at Roselawn Cemetery.

Herbert was born in Rockingham County to the late James and Thelma Chilton. He retired after 30 years of service with American Tobacco Company. He enjoyed working on cars and racing and he loved to fish for King Mackerel at the beach. Herbert loved taking care of his fur babies Jackson and Mater. Most of all he loved his family and he will be greatly missed by all.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lynn Jackson Chilton.

Herbert is survived by his daughters, Lori Chilton Moore and husband, Sammy and Heather Marie Chilton and fiancé, Robert Adams; grandchildren, Lee Moore, Michala Gauldin, Jacob Moore, Eli Moore, Serah Biggs; great grandchildren,  Karleigh, Adilynn, Aubrey, Waylon, Blake, Raelynn, Nova, and Naomi; sister, Sandra Chilton Little; nephews, Eddie and Bryant Little as well as a loving extended family.
