Henry Jarvis Melvin

Reidsville – Henry J. “Hank” Melvin, Jr., 66, of 977 Grooms Road, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital with his loving wife and children by his side. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Withrow officiating. Mr. Melvin was born in Durham, NC to the late Henry Jarvis and Annie Belle Ferguson Melvin. He was retired from Ball Container Company. He was an active member of the Rockingham County Gun Club and loved “skeet shooting”. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Melvin. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Tate Melvin of the home; sons, Henry Jarvis Melvin, III and wife, Cheryl of Apex, NC and Waylon Keith Bolden of Reidsville; daughters, Robin Pulliam Isley and husband, John and Rachel Pulliam Singleton all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Madison Melvin, Elana Melvin, Tiffany Isley, Terra Isley, Autumn Isley, Faith Isley, Haley Williams, Chandler Singleton, Waylon Bolden, Jr. and Layla Bolden. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, from 7-9 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Other times the family will be at the residence.
