Henry Whitsett Lambeth

Henry Whitsett Lambeth, Sr., age 88, of Brown Summit, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, surrounded by family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family very much. He was born on October 29, 1937 in Reidsville, North Carolina, to William Howard Lambeth and Minerva Whitsett Lambeth.

Henry attended Monticello High School, where he was a standout basketball and baseball player, graduating in 1958. After he attended Elon College, he proudly served his country in the National Guard and then built a career in sales working for General Electric, Odell Mills Supply, and Greensboro Box. Henry was an avid golfer who played regularly at what used to be Monticello Golf Course where he enjoyed many wonderful friendships. He was a pillar of the Brown Summit social community and a lifelong member of Friendship United Methodist Church where he served as treasurer and usher for many years. He was also known to visit members of the community and church when they were sick either at home or in the hospital.

Those who remember Henry know how much he loved his family and friends. Playing the guitar and golf were his two favorite hobbies, and he also took great joy in going to his grandchildren’s ball games. Henry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue Lambeth; his son, Henry “Bi” Whitsett Lambeth, Jr. (Misha) and their two daughters, Ashton and Peyton Lambeth; and his daughter, Pamela Lambeth Lough, and her two sons, Riley and Wade Lynch.

Visitation will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville, North Carolina, on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorial Service will be held at Friendship United Methodist Church in Brown Summit on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
