Helen Louise Denny

Helen Louise Denny, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital.  

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 12:00pm with Bill Rector officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until 11:45AM, prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home.   

Helen was born in Rockingham County to the late David Patterson and Gravely Patterson Miller. She was a member of Ruffin Stacey Church for 40 years. Helen spent her life as a tobacco farmer’s wife, where she raised her five kids and taught them hard work and ingenuity without complaint. She was the most wonderful mother and grandmother,  who loved her family beyond measure and loved with a truly unconditional love.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Denny; and daughters, Patricia Denny and Katherine Pryor.

Helen is survived by her sons, Ray Denny and wife Tonya; Wayne Denny and wife Jan, and Timmy Denny of the home; son-in-law, Charles Pryor; grandchildren, Randi Anne Adkins and Husband Randy, Travis Denny, Zach Pryor, Caleb Pryor, Luke Pryor, Caroline Denny and Landon Denny; several brother and sisters, along with an extended family whom she loved dearly. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rockingham County Hospice, who took care of her husband and daughter in their time of need. at PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC  27375.
