In Loving Memory of Hamid Masoudi.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hamid Masoudi, who passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 69, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Iran, Hamid came from humble beginnings and understood the value of hard work from an early age. Determined to create a better future, he made the courageous journey to the United States. Arriving in a new country without knowing the language, he relied on his intelligence, determination, and relentless work ethic to build a life from the ground up.

A lifelong learner, Hamid earned his degree in Environmental Engineering from UNC Charlotte, a remarkable achievement that reflected his dedication to education and perseverance. His journey from Iran to earning a college degree in America was a testament to his strength, ambition, and belief that hard work could overcome any obstacle.

Throughout his life, Hamid wore many hats. He was an engineer, entrepreneur, businessman, and provider. He built and operated successful businesses, including importing Persian rugs and later establishing a furniture business. No matter what challenge stood before him, he met it with determination and a belief that anything was possible through hard work and dedication.

But of all his accomplishments, Hamid's greatest source of pride was his family. Everything he did was for the people he loved. He worked tirelessly to give his children opportunities he never had and to provide a life filled with stability, love, and possibility. He taught by example, showing the importance of resilience, integrity, generosity, and never giving up in the face of adversity.

To his wife, he was a devoted partner. To his children, he was a source of strength, wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love. To his family and friends, he was dependable, kind-hearted, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He touched countless lives through his generosity, humor, and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about.

Hamid is survived by his beloved wife, Lea Waynick; his loving daughter, Cherin Masoudi; his devoted son, Alee Masoudi; and many cherished relatives and friends across the United States and Iran who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in the extraordinary life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. His story is one of courage, sacrifice, determination, and love—a story that will continue through his family and all those whose lives he touched.

A visitation to celebrate Hamid's life will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville, North Carolina. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Family and friends are invited to attend and share in remembering a man whose life touched so many.

Hamid's memory will forever be a blessing. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.

"A great man leaves footprints on the hearts of those he loves."
