Greg Hamilton Barber

Forever in our hearts, Greg Hamilton Barber.

Greg Barber went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2026, after battling illness. He was born to the late Raymond and Brenda Barber of Reidsville on October 23rd, 1964. Greg loved spending his days off with his wife, Tracey Barber; when you saw one, you saw the other. Everyone could see the deep love they shared .

Greg was a loving husband, a caring father, and, his favorite role, a devoted grandfather. He was proud of all his children: son Greg Jr., his wife Kristin Barber, and their son Lucas and daughter Charlie of Reidsville; daughter Nicole Rose and husband Kenny alongside their sons Ashton, Rosco, and Dawson of Wentworth; son Dustin Dowdy and wife Stephanie of Rhode Island; daughter Molly Dowdy and husband Christopher of Reidsville; and daughter Krissy Lovelace of Reidsville.

Greg was proud to have spent his final days in service to his community as a detention officer surrounded by people who respected him and cherished his presence. He found purpose in helping people, lifting the load when it became too heavy for others to shoulder.

Visitation will be at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, July 13th 2026. A funeral service to remember him will be held Tuesday, July 14th 2026, at 11:00 am at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Loftis, Associate Pastor Gary Loftis, and Elder Troy Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Island Primitive Baptist Church on Wilson St. in Reidsville, NC.
