Frank H. Shaw

Frank H. Shaw, 87, of Caswell County, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military graveside rites.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home, 933 Allison Road, Ruffin, NC.

Frank was born in Alamance County to the late Robert Paul Shaw and Annie Miles Shaw.  He served his country in the US Air Force from 1954 – 1976, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant.  After service he moved to Caswell County and worked with the Department of Corrections in Blanch, NC until retirement in 1997. He was a member at Bethesda Presbyterian Church.  Frank had a great sense of humor and was an excellent husband, father, grandfather and friend. He always put others first, a comforter to others and always had an optimistic attitude. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Cook; brother, Curt Shaw; step siblings, Earl McKinney, Gaynell Hodges and Billie Jean King.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ellen Rice Shaw; son, Patrick Shaw; daughter, Susan Cox; granddaughter, Ava Cox; step sister, Dorothy Rudd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
