Foy "Dave" Osborne

Foy “Dave” Osborne, 75, of Greensboro, passed away on Wednesday June 8, 2022, at Harmony at Greensboro.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 2:00PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM.

Dave was born in Guilford County to the late Foy Osborne and Nora Mae Smith Osborne on May 6, 1947. He served his country in the U.S. Army, during that time he was in a traveling show and band that entertained the troops during the Vietnam War. He was a professional musician and played with the likes of Faron Young and many others as a young man. Dave was the founder, owner, and operator of the Music Barn in Greensboro. He was an avid collector of vintage instruments.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Arlene Handy; nephew, Tommy Handy and wife Melissa; niece, Dena Dean and husband Marty.
