Flossie Lemonds Kennon

Flossie Lemonds Kennon, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Flossie was born in Robeson County to the late Howard Edward Lemonds and Alma Epps Lemonds.  She was a retired school teacher with Rockingham County Schools and cherished each and every one of her students.  Flossie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She never met a stranger and was a friend to all. 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Claude Kennon; daughter, Claudia Kennon; granddaughter, Katie Roach; son, Benny Hinson; and brothers, Robert Lemonds and wife, Pearl, Gene Lemonds and wife, Carolyn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Hinson. 

Per her request there will be no formal funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of Rockingham County.
