Flavious Oscar Baynes

Reidsville – Flavious Oscar Baynes, 80, of 1329 Cotswald Terrace, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Annie Penn Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. The family would like to recognize Mr. Charles Tillotson as an honorary pallbearer. Mr. Baynes was born in Rockingham County to the late Russell and Nell Chapmon Baynes. He was a veteran during WWII serving in the US Army. He was retired from Isometrics and was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon. He is survived by his wife, Inez Scott Dodson Baynes of the home; children, Larry Baynes of Florence, SC, Johnny Baynes and wife, Cookie of Asheboro, NC, Terry Dodson and wife, Pat of Bunn, NC, and Debbie Mundy and husband, Ham of Greensboro, NC; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Baynes and wife, Cleah; sisters, Nell Miller and Rebecca Wilson all of Reidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Other times the family will be at residence.
