Eria Shore Gregory

Our dear mother, Eria Shore Gregory, sadly passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 89. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the Hamptonville, NC community.

Eria loved her church, Union Baptist, and her church family. She was a substitute teacher for 28 years, developing a concern and love for children. She was a two time cancer survivor and took part in many fundraisers for cancer research. She created many favorite meals over the years and the family will miss them.

Eria was predeceased by her parents, Minnie Bell and Dana Shore, husband of 48 years, Billy Joe Gregory and 6 siblings including her twin, Vera.

She is survived by her three children, Patsy Pruitt (Hugh), Anita Sandlin (Joe-deceased) and Donna Richards (Gary). Two grandchildren, Cameron and David. Two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Grey.

The family would like to thank Penn Nursing Center in Reidsville, NC for their care of our mother for the last year.

There will be no public memorial service.
