Elizabeth Ann Mitchell Taylor

Wentworth: Elizabeth Ann Mitchell Taylor, 62, of 1227 NC Highway 65, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June, 28, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 3rd at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Herb officiating. Burial will follow in Wentworth United Methodist Church Cemetery. Ann was born in Rockingham County and a graduate of Wentworth High School where she very much enjoyed playing basketball. Many people will remember her from working at Short Sugars for many years. She was a member of Wentworth United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Evelyn Mitchell and her uncle, that was like a father, F.R. Mitchell. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa “Missy” Ann Mitchell Stephens; granddaughters, Samantha Ann Stephens and Logan Raine Stephens. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2nd from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to help with funeral expenses.
