Earnest Lee Lovelace

Earnest Lee Lovelace, 72, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Cone Health at Green Valley. A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Greenview Cemetery with Pastor Duane King officiating. There will be no formal visitation but Earnest will be available for viewing at Wilkerson Funeral Home Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning prior to the service. Please be considerate of the family and those attending the service by wearing a mask and social distancing. Earnest was a native of Rockingham County and was the son of the late, Sam and Mattie Lovelace. He retired from Burlington Industries with over 35 years of service. Earnest was a longtime and faithful member of Piedmont Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching racing and attending classic car shows. He loved his family and especially adored his granddaughter. Along with his parents, Earnest was also preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Pruitt, Dot Flowers, Verdie Denny, Sadie Pruitt and Kathy Wray; brothers, Floyd Lovelace and JC Lovelace. Earnest is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Stewart Lovelace; son, Jason Lovelace and wife Jennifer; granddaughter Lillian Lovelace; sisters Nancy Mabe and Jeanette McDaniel; brothers William Lovelace and wife Sharon and Charles Lovelace; and a large extended family.
