Earl "John Bill" Franklin Moore

Earl " John Bill" Franklin Moore, 79, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family at home on March 24, 2020. A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Earl was born in Rockingham County to the late John and Dovie Moore. He was a member of Covington Wesleyan Church and loved to go to McCollum's store and hang out with farmer friends or just " go riding around". He was passionate about farming and logging and enjoyed the simple pleasures of that lifestyle. Most of all he loved his family and he will be greatly missed. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Peggy Vernon Moore; children, Carlton Eugene Moore, Robin Renee Moore; siblings, Woodrow Moore, Bill Moore, Rabbit Moore, Howard Moore, Penn Moore, Tommy Moore, Robert Perkins, Mable Moore Crouse, Elsie London, Doris Manring, Betty Dyson, Arlena Blankenship and Louise Perkins walker. He is survived by his brother John Cecil Moore; grandsons, Josh Moore and wife Kayla and Kevin Moore; granddaughter, Stacey Moore; great granddaughters, Harper Moore and Mekaylia Moore and step great granddaughter, Kynlee Moore as well as numerous nieces nephews and a large extended family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Durham at 506 Alexander Ave, Durham NC, 27705.
