Dwight Lee Scearce

Dwight Lee Scearce, 70, of the Oregon Hill community, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Warner officiating.

Dwight was a son of the late G.W. Scearce, Jr. and Betty Grey Ellington Scearce.  He worked for Duke Power and Pike Electric for many years.  He loved to be outdoors, hunting and riding horses in his earlier years.  He enjoyed breakfast with his friends at French’s Corner.

He is survived by his daughters, Jenny Thomas “Sweet Pea” and husband, Ray, Rainey Brame and husband, J.R.; grandchildren, Carlea Cross and husband, Parker, Jared Thomas, Addison Owens and Brighton Brame; brother, Terry Scearce and wife Tanya; sister, Diane Scearce; Aunt Nancy Collie; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
