Doug Fargis

Reidsville– Doug Fargis, 59, of Reidsville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 26, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Reidsville Alliance Church with Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Doug was born in Rockingham County to the late Ruth Rumley Fargis and Verlyn “Candy Boy” Fargis. He was a former butcher and turned his hobby into a successful small business known as Fargis Vending Service. He is survived by his wife, Zora Sue Fargis; step daughter, Tonya Perkins (Ray); step grandchildren, Melissa, Emily and Nicholas Sanderson; brother, Mason Fargis (Irene); sisters, Amanda Fargis, Melissia Styer (John); special nieces, Donna & Madison Styer, Rachel Humphries (Gary); love of his life, his canine companion “Zoe Fargis”. Other times the family will be at the home of Melissia Styer, 215 Styer Dairy Road, Reidsville.
