Born July 24, 1941, in Caswell County, Dot lived most of her life in Rockingham County. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Edward and Lila Mae Durham. She was a former member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 20 years and is currently a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church. In addition to children, she was a longtime caregiver to her brother-in-law, Calvin Inman. Dot played a “mean” game of Rook and loved spending time with family, whether it be at the beach or ballfield. She had a passion for her canine companion, Charlie, tending her flower beds, shopping and making blankets for family and friends. She was a devoted Carolina Tarheels and Atlanta Braves fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband James “Bill” William Inman; 2 precious grandchildren; brother John Edward Durham; niece Lisa Hardy; brother-in-laws, Calvin Inman and Curtis Hardy; and friends waiting on the other side Dennis and Alice Farmer and Paula Petty.
Dot is survived by her children James E. Inman (Michelle), Mark Inman (Angie), Sandra Klaus (Dennis), and Tommy Inman (Rebecca); grandchildren Michael Wrenn, Damon Wrenn (Kaylee), Christopher Inman (Maria), Katie Mae Branch (Noah), Grace Klaus, Curtis Klaus, Parker Inman, Silas Allen, Nickolas Klaus, Chase Green; great grandchildren Kinsley Wrenn, Jase Wrenn, Cage Wrenn, Lily Mae Wrenn, Stella Grace Inman and Oaklyn Wrenn; sister Marie Hardy; niece Sharon Carter (Robert); grandniece Casey Allen; great grand nephew Ryan Allen; and longtime friends Junior and Phyllis Kennon, as well as Hank Petty.
