Doris Y. Tucker Ore

Doris Y. Tucker Ore, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2022, at her home in Eden.

Funeral services will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 2:00 PM with Pastors Marvin Bowman and Phillip Talton officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 5:00-7:00PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Hilda Williams.

Doris was born on November 13, 1939 and was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County. She was the best biscuit maker in Reidsville and never met a stranger. Doris was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord, read her bible every day and was true prayer warrior. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother sister, and friend. Doris was loved by everyone who crossed her path and will be deeply missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Loyd Goodson, and Nellie Carter Goodson; husband, Coy Hildred Ore; sisters, Mary-Lou Thore and Frances Page; brothers, Floyd Junior Tucker, Leonard Elwood Tucker, Johnny Tucker; and son-in-law, Mike Craig.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Cobb, Linda Jarrell and Ricky, Susan Garcia and Jose, Hilda Williams and Keith, Wanda Craig; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip Tucker; and sister, Dorothy Craddock.
