My prayers for the family. Wayne did a lot for the Bethany community. I remember him saying, "if you want to make a change, do something" All the work he did for the ballpark, Bethany Fire Department and the Bethany Civic Center just to name a few. Our community will miss him. Most of all, he made a good friend. It meant so much to me, when he took the time to come to my Dad's funeral. I hate I didn't get to come to his.. I still laugh, thinking of how we first met, I had stopped to get gas and was jumping up and down asking him to turn the pump on (it was pouring rain). And when he asked you to do something, you couldn't tell him, no. Because, he gave back so much. Wayne, thank you for all you did! I sure will miss you. WE need more men like you!

Wayne Barham has done more than anyone to make the Bethany Community a place where children can live, love and play together. So many of us that have had our children take advantage of seasonal ball and more, owe him a debt of gratitude. The countless hours and love he poured into starting activities for children, as well as for all community members and caring for our Civic Center. Wayne began a legacy that is still going... Love and prayers to all the family-I know that you are so proud of your daddy! Lela McCollum-Lewis
