Deborah Anne Lambert

It is with great sadness, our family shares the sudden passing of Deborah Anne Lambert on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 in Greensboro, NC.

Deb was born to Eugene and Anne (Skalko) Buckley on January 29th, 1953 in Hartford, CT. She became the eldest of 3 and was a parochial school graduate of Our Lady of the Angels in Windsor Locks, CT in 1971. She furthered her education with a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Southern Connecticut State University in 1975 and her nursing career experience spanned from ER, ICU, insurance to long term care. She even succeeded in earning a dual Masters from University of Hartford in 2000 while working a full-time job and raising 2 kids in high school.

Deb married Michael Lambert in 2001 and began her life as Mrs. Lambert. They built a beautiful life together, with their first new family member being her engagement gift from her fiancé, her favorite horse Gunnie. When Deb retired, she did not slow down. She and her beloved husband, Michael, moved to North Carolina from Connecticut and enjoyed their farm. She became an active member of multiple groups in her community including: the Lady’s Guild at St Joseph on the Hills, The Federated Reidsville Ladies Group and multiple quilt and art clubs. She earned multiple awards and accreditations for her work. Deb often volunteered for the Marine Core League and frequently provided desserts for the Reidsville Men’s club. She earned Women of the Year in 2020 for all her work with the Marine Core League.

Deb enjoyed sharing stories of her time in OLA where on senior day, she wore ski boots into school and would get in trouble with the nuns. Or how she enjoyed her time practicing as a nurse in California. Or how she achieved her goal of getting a master’s before her children entered college. She could not turn down any baby animal and loved the history antiques held. She loved to express herself in art. She took lessons in painting, sewed Halloween costumes, created an embroidery business, and loved quilting.

Deb’s most recent favorite activity was spending time and spoiling her grandchildren. She became a grandmother in 2020 on Mother’s Day and welcomed her most recent grandchild in 2025. She treasured every moment with them and was the best grandmother our children could have asked for.

She loved gardening, art, all aspects of farming, animals, quilting for veterans, water, be it ocean or lake, and helping with charity functions. Deb embodied New England Rock. It describes someone as exceptionally tough, reliable, dependable, and unshakeable. She was that and stubborn as well.

Deborah Lambert leaves behind her beloved husband Michael; her two children, Carrie M. Reynolds and husband David Hawes and Kyle D. Reynolds and his longtime partner Jennifer Strait; and her grandchildren Catia, Torren and Declan Hawes and Tristen Reynolds. Her stepchildren Robert Savona and Jamie Bohli Cormier and their children.

Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at noon at St. Joseph of the Hills, 316 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27288 and will be followed by a reception in the church hall. There will be a mass planned in her name in Connecticut for her loved ones that are unable to attend in North Carolina.

Thank you for all the support we have received. Deb really enjoyed being a part of her community and we greatly appreciate everyone’s kind words and actions. We miss her already.
