David Edward Gebhart

David Gebhart, 69, of Rockingham County, passed away on October 8, 2019. A military graveside service will be held at 11 AM, October 14, 2019 at Salisbury National Cemetery with Rev. Allen Myers officiating. David was born in Montgomery County, Ohio to the late Clifford Aurdray Gebhart and Ida Iona Avra Gebhart. He served his country in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Newman Machine Company with over 20 years of service. He had a love for motorcycles and owned several over his life, most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Deborah Parker Gebhart and two brothers, Elon and Clyde Gebhart. He is survived by his daughters, Allison Petty (Anthony), Paula Wilson (Jeff); grandchildren, Ryan Hunt, Jordan, David (Deborah), Jarod, Brendan, and Ashton Petty; sisters, Nancy Sporre (Ken) and Joy Viars (Dewey) Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com.
