David “Dave” Bryan Wilson, 84, of Reidsville, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Dave was born in Guilford County to the late Thomas Bryan Wilson and Agatha Wilson Wilson. He graduated from Stokesdale High School as co-valedictorian and Oak Ridge Military Institute (2 year college division) and continued his education at Guilford College night classes. As a practicing CPA for over 50 years, much of that time dedicated to his own practice in Reidsville, AICPA and NCACPA awarded him with life memberships. He was a charter member at Faith Christian Church where he served in many capacities. He served his country proudly in the US Army and was recalled by President Kennedy in 1961 to serve again at the time of the Berlin Crisis. Dave has dual memberships in the Jefferson Penn Masonic Lodge #384 and the Oak Island Masonic Lodge #758 as well as several other Masonic bodies. For 35 years he was honored to be a member of the NC Masonic Foundation Inc. giving him the opportunity to form long lasting friendships. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Harold, Julia, Zan, Wallace, and an infant sister. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Camille Stone Wilson; children, Maurya Wilson and Rand Wilson and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Clay and Cathryn Wilson; sisters, Audrey W. Tucker and Agatha W. Martin and husband, Don; sisters-in-law, Betty M. Wilson and Dorothy P. Wilson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and his constant canine companion Dora Fayssoux. He was a deeply thoughtful, honest, truthful, hard working and principled man who loved the promises of God, especially that of eternal life. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Camille, I am so sorry to learn of Dave's death. I have many good memories of working with Dave while I was at First National Bank. I was especially grateful when he helped me with a problem with the IRS involving Mrs. Dora Strader. Dave was a kind, thoughtful person. He will be greatly missed. Love, Carolyn Anderson
