Danny Herman Lumpkins, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026. Born to Charlie Herman Lumpkins and Effie Sue Epps on February 27, 1950, Danny lived a life full of love, dedication, and cherished memories with his family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Jeremy Lumpkins officating.
He was a devoted husband to Patricia Lumpkins, whom he loved dearly, and a proud father to his daughters, Mandy Peacock and Brandi White. Danny found immense joy in spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren grow, and celebrating life’s moments together.
Danny worked for many years as a forklift operator for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Distribution Company, from which he retired. He had a passion for rebuilding old cars, enjoyed following NASCAR, and loved animals, particularly his loyal dog, Mollie. His kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Effie Lumpkins; his brother, Dexter Lumpkins; and his brother-in-law, Mike Crowder.
His love and legacy continues to live through his wife, Patricia; daughters, Mandy Peacock and Brandi (Al) White; grandchildren, Kate Peacock, Will Peacock, Raigan (Ryan) Cheek, Emi (Bailee) Kight, and Gavin (Kristene) White; great-grandchildren, Andi Rai, Aubri, Maddox, and Kolbi; sister, Linda Crowder; nieces, Shown Crowder and Hannah Powell; nephew, Jeremy Lumpkins; great-nephew, Jake Wilson; cousin, John Lumpkins Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.
Danny was a prayer warrior who loved the Lord and was a profound Christian. Danny’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire and comfort those who loved him.
