Daniel Ellis

Daniel Jerome Ellis, 37, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at 10AM at Lord’s House of Prayer Baptist Church, 837 Bethany Road in Reidsville, with Pastor James Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville from 6-8PM on Friday, August 16, 2019. Daniel was an avid outdoorsman and lived his life through the music that he loved. He was a compassionate, hardworking man and took great pride in his abilities as a logger. Most of all, he loved his family and friends, and will forever be remembered for his charming ways and tender heart. He is preceded in death by his wife Dana Wagoner Ellis and his mother, Faye Cox Ellis. He is survived by his children, Kassidy and Jason Eaton; his father, Milton Ray Ellis; his brothers, Kenneth Ray Ellis and Michael Ray Ellis; his sister, Lisa Faye Ellis; his aunt, Linda Kay Webster; cousin Crystal Ellis Taylor and endeared family friend, Teresa Hand, as well as a loving extended family. His loved ones take comfort in knowing that death is not extinguishing the light, it is merely putting out the candle when the dawn has come.
