Cynthia Roop Compton

Madison - Cynthia Roop Compton, 56,  of 241 Dan River Road, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Morehead Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, May 12, 2008 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Vaughan officiating.     Mrs. Compton was born in Delaware, March 15, 1952, to Luther and June Shockley Roop.   She was a homemaker. Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband, James Linwood Compton; son, Jesse Compton and wife, Karla of Madison, NC; daughter, Kati-Laren Moyer and husband, Adam of Madison, NC; grandchildren, Kylie Elise Moyer and one on the way;   brother, Randy Roop and sister, Sandy Faulkner . The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 11, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home of Butch Thomas, 380 Sunrise Acres Road, Stokesdale, NC 27357.
