Clyde "CP" Preston Revis Jr.

 

Clyde Preston “CP” Revis Jr., 63, passed away at his home on Friday, September 15, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at New Life Baptist Church.

Clyde was born in Rockingham County to the late Clyde P Revis Sr. and Barbara Ann Matlock . He was an avid sports fan, especially softball. He umpired and kept score at Jaycee ballpark for many years. You could always find him at a ballpark. He also enjoyed the outdoors and deer hunting. Clyde was a faithful member of New Life Baptist Church. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Susan Laster.

CP is survived by his children, Jonathan Preston Revis and wife, Deanna, Brittany Revis Knowles and husband, Brian, Jeremy Clyde Revis and wife, Hannah , Ariana Revis Pennell and husband, William, Charles Brandon Revis; grandchildren, Nate, Parker, Keegan, Tenley, Gunner, Carlee Ray and Bo; brother, Cullen Lamb Jr. as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Baptist Church at 943 NE Market Street, Reidsville, NC 27320, or Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
