"Pop Pop" saw the Lord today at the reception. He knew he would meet his connection.

Clarence .H. McCollum 89 of Reidsville passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from complications due to Alzheimer's disease.

His celebration of life service will be held on September 2, 2025 at 4:30 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Clarence was born on January 31, 1936 in Rockingham County. A member of Thompsonville Baptist Church. He was the owner of C. H. McCollum Home Builders for 51 years.

Clarence enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and he really loved helping elderly people with reconstruction projects.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Clarence enjoyed helping his wife restore antiques. He was an outstanding softball player and loved the game of horseshoes.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Lois McCollum; His children Terry McCollum, and wife Pam, and daughter, Michelle Shinault. Grandchildren; Taylor Shinault and husband, Gabriel, Hunter Shinault and fiancé Damion. His sister, Kay McCollum Jones
