Cindy E. Finch

Cindy E. Finch, 65, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, after a brief illness.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.

Cindy was born on October 11, 1958, in Rockingham County to the late Lindsay and Claudine Evans. She was a graduate of Ruffin High School, class of 1976 and in recent years she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with former classmates. In her spare time, she could be found watching true crime and veterinarian shows. Cindy had a deep appreciation for nature, especially the moon and clouds, and also had a love for all animals, especially her cats. She was famous for her jello salad, deviled eggs, and delicious pies. More than anything, she was a devoted wife, mother and Mema who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Andy” Finch, Jr.; grandson, Liam Hearp; sister and brother-in-law, Norma E. Pruitt and P.D. Pruitt; mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth Finch and Robert Andrew “Pop” Finch, Sr.

Cindy is survived by her daughter, Abby Hearp and husband Layland; grandchildren, Asher Hearp and Leigh Ann Hearp; sister, Dale E. Aldridge and husband Sammy; special friend, Eddie Schoolfield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Timmy Finch and Karen Finch; nieces and nephews, Casey Davis and husband Brian, Daniel Aldridge, Elizabeth Aldridge and boyfriend, Clint, Eric Finch and wife Kelly, Lainey Finch and boyfriend, Jamie.

Great-nieces and nephews, Raegan Davis, Carson Stanley, Ford Davis, Charlotte Compton and River Finch.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rockingham County Animal Shelter, 250 Cherokee Camp Road Reidsville, NC 27320.
