Cindy Lee Chmielecki

Cindy Lee Chmielecki, 66, of Reidsville, NC passed away suddenly from natural causes on Saturday, July 2, 2022.

Cindy was born in Hartford, CT to the late Arthur Letourneau and Corinne Griffin Letourneau.  She was a parishioner at St. Pius X Catholic Church and was a retired operating room nurse with Duke Hospital.  She and her husband, Daniel moved to Reidsville, NC on April 1, 2016, to restore a historical home built in 1870, a project that was nearing completion.  She was an accomplished artist and loved to do oil paintings of old barns, landscapes, and flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Chmielecki; children, Jared Chmielecki (Marie), Christie Sanford (Ryan), and Katrina Harrison (Jason); grandchildren, Carter Sanford, Lucas Chmielecki, Amelia Sanford, Logan Chmielecki, Elliott Sanford, Levi Harrison, Nicholas Chmielecki, Henry Sanford, Juliet Harrison, Grace Chmielecki, Julius Sanford, and Maxwell Harrison; stepfather, Rikki Ricardo. 

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Mark Letourneau.

The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 15, 2022, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC with Monsignor Anthony Marcaccio officiating. Cindy will be available for viewing 45 minutes prior to the service at the church.  There will be a reception at the church after the service and the committal will follow the reception in Reidsville at Reidlawn Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
