Cheryl Faye Smith Andrews, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, with her family by her side.

The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM. A graveside service will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, with Mickey Alcorn officiating at 1:00 PM.

Cheryl was born to the late Houston and Thelma Smith on December 13, 1955, in Rockingham County. She received her surgical technology degree from GTCC, where she worked in the endoscopy lab at High Point Regional Hospital. She retired in 2015. She married her husband, Billy in 1978, and together they raised a family in Browns Summit. Cheryl enjoyed gardening, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her strong will and straight forward personality. Cheryl will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy and son Paul “Punkin” Andrews, her sisters Patricia McCollum, Karen “Kay” Smith. Cheryl is survived by her daughter Brandy Isley of the home, son William “Andy” Andrews, and wife Ashley. Grandchildren Gracie, Rylan, Mason, and Rylee. Also, her beloved beagle, Piper. One brother, Jeffrey Smith, of Georgia, as well as numerous  nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Autism Society of North Carolina, 9 Oak Branch Drive Greensboro, NC 27407, as well as the American Cancer Society @ donate.cancer.org 800-227-2345.
