Carl Wilson "Butch" Davis

Reidsville – Carl Wilson “Butch” Davis, 58, of 705 Montgomery St., passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Annie Penn Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 21, 2008 with Rev. Dan Jones officiating.   A procession will leave from the funeral home to the cemetery at 10:30 AM. Mr. Davis was a native of Rockingham County and was born to the late, Richard Warren Sr. and Virginia Elizabeth Cayton Davis.   He was a certified Harley Davidson mechanic and was a motorcycle enthusiast.   Butch loved spending his free time with friends and shooting pool.   He is survived by his son; Jonathan Blake Davis, daughters; Lisa Marie Bradley and Katie Lynn Davis, godson; Mason Taylor, brother; Richard Warren “Dick” Davis Jr. and special friend, Janie Tate. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 20, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home of Lisa Bradley, 2449 Wentworth Street, Reidsville.   Friends from Burlington can be received at the home of Blake Davis, 2250 Phibbs Rd. # 26 in Elon.     Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC   27375 or Wilkerson Funeral Home, on behalf of the Davis family for funeral expenses.
