Brenda Dixon Apple

Brenda Dixon Apple, 74, of Reidsville passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Annie Penn Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Puryear officiating. A private burial will follow.

Brenda was born in Rockingham County to the late Thomas and Claudia Talley Dixon. She graduated from Reidsville High School and Western Carolina University with a BS Degree in Education. She spent her career as an English Teacher, starting at Ruffin High School and ending at Rockingham County High School in 1997. After retirement she decided to go back to work teaching and helping at the YMCA for a few years. Brenda was a loyal member and Choir director at Penn Memorial Baptist church for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Apple and son, Lewis Marvin Apple.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Apple and wife, Anna; grandchildren, Caitlyn Oliva Apple, Christin Leigh Apple, Zakary Thomas Apple and Barrett Greg Apple.
