Bonnie Jean Covington Paschal, 81, of 4178 Ashland Road, went home to be with The Lord, Monday, October 27, 2025, at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Reidlawn Cemetery with Ted Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Wilkerson Funeral Home starting at 10:00AM.
Bonnie was born in Guilford County and was the daughter of the late Dewey and Pearl Easter Covington. She was a member of Burton Memorial Baptist Church. Jesus was her passion, and her faith carried her through all the hardships along the journey of life. Bonnie loved to work in her flowers, feed the birds, and watch them play. Bonnie worked in the credit department and retired from Sears & Roebuck after many years of service.
Along with her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melvin Harrison Paschal; sisters, Nonnie Smith, Ruby Stanley, Ersie Johnson, Betty Gibson and husband Harry, Daisy Shelton and husband Carl, and Joy Paschal and husband Billy; brothers, James Covington and Thomas Covington; and sister-in-law, Geneva Lucas.
She is survived by her special niece, Patty Bondurant Troxler and husband Russell, and Patty’s children, Brooke and Hunter Bondurant; nephews Timmy Paschal and wife Tammy and their daughter Sabrina, and Bruce Paschal; sisters, Mary Johnson and Shirley Bame; as well as numerous other beloved nieces and nephews.
The family would especially like to thank Bonnie’s faithful caregivers, Jonna Comer and Kelly Foster for their loving care for Bonnie.
