Bobby Tyson Overby

Bobby “Tyson” Overby, 48, went to be with the Lord on Feb 18, 2022, at his home in Ruffin. Tyson was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County. Born to Victoria Kay Overby, August 9, 1974, he was an Electrician’s Helper for many years. At the time of his death, he was a handy man. He enjoyed fixing cars, the outdoors, rock music and a good burnout!

Tyson is preceded in death by his grandparents, Perk and Lucille Overby; special uncle, Ricky Overby, and numerous beloved relatives.

He is survived by his daughter, Grace Elledge and husband Matt; grandson, Harrison; longtime partner of 22 years, Liz Baumann; mother, Vicky Overby; special “nephew and niece”, Ty and Josie Kutlik as well as a large and loving extended family.

There will be a celebration of his life at the Happy Home Community Building at 2PM on Saturday, February 26^th, 2022, at 130 Perkinson Road, Ruffin, NC 27326.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Rockingham Humane Society at 205 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27288.
