Billy Gay Stanley

Billy “Buster” G. Stanley, 60, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife and daughter.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Evergreen Memory Gardens at 11 a.m.

Billy was born in Rockingham County to the late Billy Stanley and Geraldine Halbrook Stanley Marks. He retired after 32 years of service with Annie Penn Hospital. He could fix anything and knew every nook and cranny of Annie Penn. Billy enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and traveling but most of all he loved spending time with his family; especially his “grandbabies”, “Beany Beany” and “Johnny Man”. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra Craddock Stanley; daughter, Tiffany Dickerson and husband, Jake; grandchildren, Jillian and Jonathan “Johnny” Dickerson; step-father, Walter Marks; brothers, Jerry Stanley and wife Judy, Jimmy Stanley and Rusty Stanley; sister-in-law, Christine Wright; brother-in-law, Larry Craddock and wife, Kim along with numerous nieces and nephews; son, Billy Stanley and wife, Ashley, along with three grandchildren and a large and loving extended family.

Oh my dear Sandra, Tiffany and family, I'm so sad to hear that Billy passed away. My late husband Bob Maus worked closely with him for years at Annie Penn. He spoke about what a hard worker he was. We all became friends early on and were so thrilled when you were married and had that sweet baby girl. I'm hoping that good memories of him will help you all through this time. Bob's brother died and his military service was in Salisbury this morning so I was unable to attend Billy's service. I'm so sorry 😢

Sandra, Jimmy, Rusty and all the family. I was so saddened to hear of Billy's passing. I have known all of you since I worked at Cox Grocery, and then I worked with Billy at Annie Penn. He was an amazing individual who was so friendly and caring toward everyone, and loved his family above all else. My prayers are with all of you. May God give you the strength and hold you tight during this time.
